Visique is an established network of independent qualified Optometrists who have been providing quality eye care to local communities since the year 2000. We are proud to be 100% kiwi owned!

Visique Pakuranga Optometrists is an independent optometry practice with the Visique group and has been part of the Visique group since its inception. This arrangement allows both you as patient and us as a practice to have a good support system and at the same time have the flexibility to make decisions so we can tailor our services to suit your needs. At Visique Pakuranga Optometrists, we aspire to have our patients leaving with peace of mind as we believe in taking our time and providing the highest quality eye care. Both Betty and Simon grew up in Eastern Auckland, and their vision is to provide quality community based optometry service as a way to give back to the community which has already provided them so much. 

We are located at the top of John's Lane just off Pakuranga Road. Just opposite Domino's Pizza. We offer a range of services including comprehensive examinations, repairs, adjustments, contact lens fittings and good old friendly advice.

Simon I-Heng Huang

NZAO registered Optometrist/Co-Owner of Visique Pakuranga Optometrists

Having graduated from the University of Auckland Optometry School, Simon loves the challenge of making his eye care services streamline and exceptional. After working in several different locations and with different groups of people in Australia after graduation, Simon has plenty of experience when it comes to your visual requirements, whether it be spectacles, sun protection options, contact lenses or advice on eye health issues. He puts great emphasis on customising each individual eye examination so you can get the most information out of your consultation in regards to your eye health and requirements.

Simon is also therapeutically qualified and endorsed to prescribe ophthalmic medications for certain acute eye conditions, and has a particular interest in childrens vision and myopia control and management.

Simon is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Betty Yuting Zhang

NZAO registered Optometrist/Co-Owner of Visique Pakuranga Optometrists

Betty is constantly updating her knowledge on products and services in the optometry field and aims to provide the best customer journey when you come in for your comprehensive eye examination. Betty graduated from University of Auckland Optometry School as well and is well equipped with the knowledge of treating all aspects of eye health care. Betty has a personal interest in treating ocular diseases and dry eyes. With a passion for technology, Betty is always keeping us up to date with the newest equipment and clinical skills.

Betty is also therapeutically qualified and endorsed, and can treat acute eye conditions accordingly so you can have a peace of mind when you come to Betty with an eye problem.

Betty is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Heather McKey

Optical Assistant/Receptionist/Clinical Manager

Heather is our organisation guru, which we rely on for a smooth clinic at any given day, no matter how busy it may get. Heather enjoys chatting and getting to know you and what you like. Heather understands that the right pair of spectacles can make a huge impact on one’s confidence, and thrives  to always selecting a frame that is not only comfortable, but able to bring out your personality.
